PM Oli Shares Insights on Karnali’s Development at ‘Jurukka Karnali’ Event

Kathmandu – Nepal’s Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli shared his experiences and perspectives on the development and potential of Karnali Province through a Facebook post, following the ‘Jurukka Karnali’ program. He said the event provided an opportunity to meet talents from across the country and listen to artistic and social discussions about Karnali.

In his post, PM Oli mentioned that he had visited Karnali during a month-long mid-hill journey one and a half years ago. From the hill of Dailekh Bazaar, he witnessed the sparkling lights across the region at night, the gas being extracted from the ground, and ongoing construction of hospitals and roads, all reflecting the changing face of Karnali.

He also noted that last month he visited Kharpunath in Humla to observe road construction projects. The road connecting Nepalgunj through India to Hilsa and onward to China is expected to carry Karnali’s herbs and medicinal plants to international markets. PM Oli highlighted that 112 billion cubic meters of gas have been discovered in Dailekh, with commercial extraction expected next year.

The Prime Minister emphasized that creative work should reflect hope, trust, and positivity. He wrote on Facebook that creations made only to provoke excitement may anger audiences but do not enhance the value of Karnali.

Concluding his post, PM Oli wrote, “Karnali has changed a lot from yesterday. We are uplifting Karnali boldly, Karnali is rising boldly! The country is rising boldly!”
