JSP Statement: Gen Z Youth Movement Succeeds, Call for Interim Government

The People’s Socialist Party, Nepal (JSP), has issued a statement declaring the recent movement led by the Gen Z generation for good governance, corruption control, justice, and change as a historic success.

In the statement released by party spokesperson Manish Kumar Suman, the party congratulated the youth participants, paid tribute to the martyrs, extended condolences to their families, and wished for the speedy recovery of the injured.

The party expressed concern over the significant loss of lives and property during the protests and urged everyone to remain cautious and restrained to avoid further tragedies. It emphasized the need to safeguard past achievements—democracy, republicanism, federalism, inclusion, equality, social justice, fundamental rights, and civil liberties—while striving for further progress.

The statement further stressed the importance of preventing extremist and regressive tendencies and underscored the urgent need to form an interim government by including the transformative youth who led the movement.

Finally, the JSP appealed to all stakeholders to act with patience and restraint and to work through dialogue and negotiation to restore peace, law and order, tolerance, and harmony in the country.
