JSP Nepal Stresses on Creating Investment-Friendly Environment in the Country

Janata Samajwadi Party (JSP) Nepal has stressed the need to create an investment-friendly environment in the country.

The party emphasized that an investment-friendly environment must be created to attract national and foreign capital and technology into productive sectors such as industries and factories to industrialize the country and eradicate poverty, unemployment, and backwardness, according to the party’s Publicity Department Head, Purna Basnet.

Basnet further stated that the party's stance is that industries must be protected and encouraged, and special concessions and priority should be given to small and medium-scale industries.

Additionally, a concrete policy, program, and plan must be formulated and implemented to professionalize, modernize, and industrialize agriculture through an agricultural revolution by implementing a scientific land use policy.

This is intended to improve the living standards of the poor population dependent on agriculture and make the country developed, prosperous, and affluent.

JSP Nepal also stressed that farmers should be provided with agricultural loans at concessional rates, along with arrangements for irrigation, fertilizers, seeds, pesticides, and agricultural markets.

The party has also demanded the government implement a ration card system to control the rising inflation and provide food grains at low prices to the extremely poor and underprivileged classes.
