JSP Nepal Unveils Election Manifesto for 2082 House of Representatives Polls
Kathmandu. Janata Samajwadi Party (JSP), Nepal has released its election manifesto for the 2082 House of Representatives elections. With the primary slogan "Towards Prosperity with Struggle," the party has put forward federalism, equality, social justice, prosperity, and socialism as its priority agendas.
The party has committed to strengthening the federal democratic republic by institutionalizing the achievements gained through past political movements, the ten-year armed rebellion, the People's Movement, and the Madhesh Uprising. Additionally, the manifesto mentions correcting errors in the constitution while making the federal restructuring of the state, proportional representation, and inclusive democracy more effective.
Expressing dissatisfaction with the current political situation, the manifesto alleges that unstable coalitions, unprincipled politics, and increasing corruption have weakened citizen trust. In the economic sector, the rise in public debt, dependence on remittances, decline in domestic production, and increasing youth unemployment are highlighted as serious challenges.
JSP, Nepal has committed to ensuring citizen access to quality education and health services, making the justice system affordable and effective, and creating employment for youth within the country. Furthermore, the goal is to achieve equitable prosperity with socio-economic justice through the establishment of a welfare state with social security, the strengthening of participatory inclusive democracy, and good governance.
The party stated it will implement a socialist eco-political direction while institutionalizing federalism with national/ethnic identity. It also pledged to ensure the representation of marginalized communities, including Indigenous Nationalities, Dalits, women, Muslims, Tharus, and backward classes, by strengthening the proportional electoral system.
Calling for votes for the 'Umbrella' election symbol, JSP, Nepal claimed through its manifesto that it will lead the country toward inclusive development and sustainable prosperity.
