JSP Nepal Expels Leaders Who Filed Candidacies Against Official Nominees
People's Socialist Party (JSP) Nepal has expelled leaders who filed candidacies against the party's official nominees. Party Patron Mahantha Thakur and Party Chair Upendra Yadav issued a press release on Wednesday, expelling eight leaders, including six rebel candidates for the House of Representatives.
Those expelled include Pradip Yadav from Parsa, Kamrullah Ansari, Nawalkishore Singh, Chandan Kumar Singh, and Atmaram Sah from Bara, Udayakanta Mishra from Sarlahi, and Harinarayan Yadav and Dr. Shivaji Yadav from Mahottari.
The party stated in its release that these individuals were expelled effective today for filing candidacies against official nominees in the upcoming 2026 House of Representatives elections under the first-past-the-post system, and for acting against the party's policies, decisions, interests, discipline, and constitution.
