Janata Samajwadi Party (JSP) Nepal to Hold District-Level Protest Assemblies
The Janata Samajwadi Party (JSP) Nepal is set to hold district-level protest assemblies.
Purna Basnet, the Head of the Publicity and Publication Department, informed that JSP Nepal, which has been conducting various protest programs by advancing 28 main demands and national issues, is scheduled to hold district-level protest assemblies/public meetings from Saturday, Mangsir 27 to Pus 4.
He stated that, as part of the previously announced series of protest programs, a circular has been issued to all district committees starting today to organize district-level protest assemblies and public meetings to convey the party's demands and issues to the people.
Similarly, the party has scheduled Provincial-level Public Demonstrations and Protest Assemblies in every province starting Pus 12.
JSP Nepal has been carrying out protest programs since Mangsir 10, raising demands and issues including constitutional amendment, re-delineation of electoral constituencies, a system of a directly elected executive president by the people, and a parliament with a system of proportional inclusive representation.
