JSP Meeting to Discuss Election Prospects, Challenges, and Outcome

KATHMANDU: The Central Committee meeting of the Janata Samajwadi Party (JSP) Nepal, scheduled for Kartik 19 and 20 (November 5 and 6) in Kathmandu, will feature extensive discussions on the possibilities, challenges, and likely outcome of the upcoming House of Representatives election.

Poorna Basnet, Chief of the party's Publicity Department, made this statement while sharing the agenda for the forthcoming meeting.

Basnet elaborated on the key topics for deliberation:

  • Political Consensus: The need for political consensus among parties to ensure the successful completion of the election.
  • Election Dynamics: The prospects and challenges of the election, along with the expectations of the public and the potential results.
  • Diaspora Voting Rights: Addressing the demand for voting rights for Nepali citizens residing abroad.
  • Party's Future Course: Deliberation on the party's overall future work policy.

Basnet also highlighted that a significant challenge facing the country is whether the government can successfully manage both anti-corruption investigations and the elections simultaneously.
