JSP Leader Basnet Accuses RSP of Losing Sense Due to Illusion and Ambition

Purna Basnet, head of the publicity department of Janata Samajwadi Party (JSP) Nepal, has accused the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) of becoming irrational due to the illusion of alternative politics and unnatural ambition.
Basnet remarked that when individuals lacking even the basic political awareness of ordinary voters suddenly get the opportunity to lead a party, become Members of Parliament, and even ministers, their illusions and ambitions grow—ultimately rendering the party senseless.
He stated, “RSP is a party that has made no contribution to the country's political transformation. They neither have any sense of ownership towards the nation's political system nor do they possess any vision, policy, or plan to change the people's condition.”
According to him, the recent activities of RSP, which are centered around idolizing their own leadership, have only increased public frustration and resentment towards politics.
He further commented that it has now become clear that they too are new partners in the country’s corruption, irregularities, and scandals. He added that the people will bring them down to size in 2084 (Nepali year).
