Joint Mock Election Exercise Completed in Sarlahi
Sarlahi. A joint mock election (election simulation) exercise has been completed in Sarlahi, targeting the upcoming House of Representatives election. The exercise was held on Saturday afternoon at the Covered Hall grounds located in Malangwa Municipality-2.
The exercise saw the joint participation of the Nepal Army, Nepal Police, Armed Police Force Nepal, and Election Police. According to the District Police Office, Sarlahi, practical drills were conducted on security arrangements at polling stations, voter entry, how voters receive ballot papers, where and how to place the Swastika stamp, matters to note when entering the secret booth, techniques for folding ballot papers and the process of safely dropping them into the ballot box, emergency management, crowd control, and coordinated operational systems.
Addressing the program, Chief Guest Thapaliya stated that effective coordination among all security agencies is essential to complete the election in a transparent, impartial, and fearless environment. He instructed the relevant agencies to play a responsible and vigilant role.
Chief Election Officer Pushparaj Thapaliya participated in the simulation program as the Chief Guest. Similarly, Chief District Officer Ramuraj Kadariya, Kalidhwoj Battalion Commandant Umesh Khadka, Superintendent of Police Yogendra Kumar Khadka of the District Police Office Sarlahi, Armed Police Superintendent Amar B.
Khatri, Head of the National Investigation District Office Sarlahi Sanjay Kumar Mandal, and District Election Officer Rishiram Poudel, among others, were in attendance.
