CPN-UML Nominates Ram Kumari Jhakri for National Assembly

The CPN-UML has decided to field Ram Kumari Jhakri as a candidate for the National Assembly from Lumbini Province. Her nomination is confirmed for the women’s cluster in Lumbini, with the formal process scheduled to take place this Wednesday.

Jhakri had been persistently demanding the opportunity to contest the direct elections from Gulmi Constituency No. 2. 

However, after the regional committee decided to move forward with Vice-Chairman Gokarna Bista for that seat, Jhakri and other aspirants had been lobbying the central leadership to secure the candidacy for that specific constituency.
