Ishwar Pokharel Arrives at Bhrikuti Mandap for UML Chairperson Poll
Kathmandu—Voting is being held today for the selection of the new leadership of the CPN (UML). Ahead of the start of the new leadership selection, leaders from the KP Sharma Oli faction have been actively engaged in aggressive campaigning at the convention venue.
The Ishwar Pokharel group, however, appears slow in the field but is busy with internal strategy. The group has devised a strategy to secure votes by holding discussions with independent candidates who were not included in the UML panel.
Meanwhile, Ishwar Pokharel, the candidate for the post of chairperson, has already arrived at the Bhrikutimandap polling station.
Although the voting was scheduled to begin today at noon (12 PM), there is a possibility that it will not start on time due to technical reasons, informed Rajendra Gautam, head of the UML Publicity Department. According to him, the start of the voting could be delayed until four o'clock.
