Indian Cinematographers Roped In for Neeta Dhungana’s Upcoming Film ‘Sukha-Dukha’

Kathmandu — Indian cinematographers Kabir Lal and Shahid Lal have been signed for the upcoming Nepali film ‘Sukha-Dukha’, directed by actress and filmmaker Neeta Dhungana. The official agreement between the cinematographers and the production team was finalized on Sunday.
Kabir Lal has worked as a cinematographer in over 80 films across Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Hindi languages. Shahid Lal, on the other hand, has primarily worked in Kannada and Telugu cinema. With extensive experience in both Bollywood and South Indian film industries, their involvement is expected to bring strong technical value to Dhungana’s second directorial venture.
The film’s distribution rights outside the Kathmandu Valley have been acquired by FD Company, while Rich Entertainment has secured the rights within the Valley. Director Dhungana has assigned Chhabiraj Ojha to oversee distribution outside the Valley and Karan Shrestha for distribution within.
Shankar Pandey has been appointed as the film's production manager. So far, Dhungana has not revealed the cast, stating that technical aspects are being given top priority at this stage.
“I would like to sincerely thank everyone who has placed their trust in me as a director. ‘Sukh-Dukh’ will add a new dimension to our cultural emotions and storytelling,” said Dhungana.
The film is being produced under the banner of Neeta Films and is scheduled for release during the Phulpati festival of Dashain next year. Dhungana’s debut production ‘Hrashwadirgha’ had previously achieved notable success.
