Humanoid Robots Enter Chinese Workplaces as Manufacturing Demand Surges

China’s manufacturing sector is increasingly deploying robots across factories and workplaces, prompting robot manufacturers to report a significant surge in demand.

Fueling robots are undergoing final-stage testing before being dispatched to gas stations. One such robot is already operational at a service center in Foshan.

In addition, other robots are being used in factories for tasks such as loading materials, sorting, and assembling various components.

Lei Xiong, General Manager of Zhejiang Ningbo Joyson Lingxi Intelligent Technology, states: "Our robots have already started working in factories. For example, they are performing loading and unloading, sorting items, and assembling components. They are now truly beginning to fulfill their responsibilities."

Companies manufacturing robots and their components are also striving to boost their production capacity to meet this rising demand.

A Shenzhen-based company manufactures essential joint components for humanoid robots. According to the company, orders exceeding one million units have already been secured for this year.

Ge Pengyao, General Manager of Shenzhen Lingqiao Drive and Control Technology, noted that more than a dozen customers have already confirmed their orders for this year.

According to a recent estimate by Morgan Stanley, China's humanoid robot market will reach $2 billion this year and is projected to grow to $15 billion by 2030.
