House of Representatives Meeting Update
Kathmandu. A meeting of the House of Representatives under the Federal Parliament is scheduled to be held today at 4:00 PM. According to the General Secretary of the Parliament Secretariat, Padma Prasad Pandey, various important agendas will be presented in today's meeting. In the meeting, Prime Minister Balendra Shah is scheduled to table a copy of the address previously delivered by President Ram Chandra Paudel to the joint session of the Federal Parliament.
Similarly, the Speaker will present a motion of thanks for the address made by the President. The main attraction of today's meeting is the election for the post of Deputy Speaker. Under this, Member of Parliament Gyan Bahadur Shahi will present a proposal to elect Saraswati Lama as the Deputy Speaker, which will be supported by Tahir Ali Bhat, Khushbu Oli, and Bharat Giri.
Likewise, Member of Parliament Aren Rai will present another proposal to elect Ruby Kumari as the Deputy Speaker. It is mentioned in the agenda that the proposal will be supported by Ashok Kumar Chaudhary and Ambika Devi Sangroula. Today's meeting is expected to move forward the leadership selection process of the House of Representatives and begin the formal process regarding the policies and programs presented by the President.
