President Ramchandra Paudel Honors Nation Builder Prithvi Narayan Shah
Kathmandu – President Ramchandra Paudel paid tribute to the nation builder Prithvi Narayan Shah. He honored Shah’s contributions by laying a floral garland at the statue of the nation builder located near the western gate of Singha Durbar. On the occasion, a troop of the Nepalese Army presented a salute to the President.
On the occasion of Prithvi Jayanti and National Unity Day, Vice President Ram Sahaya Prasad Yadav, Prime Minister Sushila Karki, Chief Justice Prakash Man Singh Raut, National Assembly Chairperson Narayan Prasad Dahal and Vice Chairperson Bimala Ghimire, and government ministers paid homage to Prithvi Narayan Shah, the architect of Nepal’s unification, and expressed their respect.
Secretary General Suman Raj Aryal, senior officials of the government, heads of constitutional and security bodies, and prominent figures from various sectors of society also paid tribute to the nation builder Prithvi Narayan Shah.
Every year, Prithvi Narayan Shah’s birthday on Poush 27 is celebrated as National Unity Day.
