Home Minister Urges Voters to Cast Ballots Without Fear

Kathmandu. Home Minister Omprakash Aryal has called upon voters to cast their ballots with confidence in the upcoming House of Representatives elections, stating that the peace and security situation has been strengthened.

Minister Aryal, who reached Nepalgunj in Banke and proceeded to Achham, Bajhang, Bajura, and Dhangadhi in Kailali for field inspection and monitoring of election preparations and security arrangements alongside a team of high-ranking officials—including Home Secretary Rajkumar Shrestha, Inspector General of Police Dan Bahadur Karki, and Inspector General of Armed Police Force Raju Aryal—expressed confidence that the election would be completed in a clean, fair, and fearless environment. He urged voters to exercise their right to vote without any hesitation.

Minister Aryal stated that if any kind of illegal activities occur or are carried out during the election, the culprits will be brought within the legal framework and strictly punished. Additionally, he instructed the concerned officials to maintain religious and social harmony and to prioritize the security of the candidates.

During the monitoring and inspection, the Chief District Officers of the respective districts presented reports on the overall security situation of their districts to Minister Aryal. 

After receiving information about the ground reality of the districts, Minister Aryal directed the respective Chief District Officers to analyze the security situation of the districts they lead and implement security plans effectively.

Giving a brief reaction to media persons after the field monitoring and inspection, Minister Aryal informed that the election atmosphere appears encouraging nationwide and that security preparations for the election have been made robust.

Assistant Spokesperson of the Ministry of Home Affairs, Rama Acharya, stated that the Chief Election Officer, election officers, Lumbini Province heads of security agencies, and members of the District Security Committee, among others, were present at the program held in Nepalgunj, Banke, during the monitoring visit.
