Home Minister Urges Voters to Participate Fearlessly in Upcoming Election
Kathmandu. Home Minister Omprakash Aryal has called upon voters to participate in the voting process on March 5 (Falgun 21) without any hesitation, stating that all necessary security arrangements for the upcoming election have been finalized.
Addressing a meeting of the Central Security Committee held on Thursday under his chairmanship, he expressed this view. Home Minister Aryal mentioned that since elections can only take place with tight and reliable security arrangements, he is confident that the election will be completed on the scheduled date with the support, cooperation, and coordination of all relevant agencies.
Similarly, during the meeting, the heads of the three security bodies and officials of the District Security Committees informed Home Minister Aryal that all security arrangements are being put in place and the district-wise security strategy is being implemented gradually.
According to the Home Minister's secretariat, the meeting also included detailed discussions regarding the implementation of the Central Election Security Strategy and the overall preparations for the election to be held on March 5.
In the meeting conducted via the 'Zoom app', Home Minister Aryal received updates on the implementation of provincial and district security strategies and election preparations from officials of the Central Security Committee, Chief Secretaries of all seven provinces (Heads of Provincial Command Posts), and Chief District Officers of all 77 districts, including officials of the District Security Committees.
Presentations were also made during the meeting by the Provincial Chief Secretaries and officials of the District Security Committees, which are coordinated by the Chief District Officers.
