Prime Minister Sushila Karki Addresses Rumours Regarding Home Minister Omprakash Aryal
Kathmandu, October 30. Prime Minister Sushila Karki has drawn attention to the misleading reports published in various media outlets claiming that Kathmandu Metropolitan City Mayor Balendra Shah has been pressuring her to remove Home Minister Omprakash Aryal for the past few days.
Today, Aadarsh Kumar Shrestha, Chief Personal Secretary at the Prime Minister's Office, issued a press statement mentioning that the decision to appoint or remove any minister is purely within the domain of the Prime Minister's authority and that such a decision cannot be made under anyone's pressure or influence.
"It is well known to all that this government was formed in accordance with the mandate expressed by the Gen-Z movement, and that Home Minister Aryal, who has come to assume the nation's profound responsibility in this unusual circumstance, has been tirelessly working to create an environment for the upcoming elections, maintain peace and security, and keep the morale of the security organisations high," the statement read.
The Prime Minister's Office has also requested all concerned parties not to spread or believe such rumours in this sensitive situation.
