Home Minister Aryal Describes Nepal Telecom as the State's Digital Backbone
Kathmandu. Home Minister Omprakash Aryal has described Nepal Telecom as the digital backbone of the state. Speaking at the 22nd anniversary ceremony of Nepal Telecom, he stated that the company is not just a telecommunications entity but a vital foundation for national unity, service delivery, and economic activities.
He said, "Nepal Telecom is not just a telecommunications organization; it is the state's digital backbone. By bringing communication access from the remote mountains to the villages of the Terai, this institution has been fostering national unity, service delivery, and economic activity. The role played by Nepal Telecom during natural disasters, pandemics, or other emergencies has been significant."
He mentioned that Nepal Telecom has been contributing to the overall development of the country by expanding communication access from remote Himalayan regions to the villages of the Terai. Highlighting that telecommunications has transformed into a basic necessity of human life in today's era, Minister Aryal expressed the view that telecommunication services have become essential. He expressed confidence that Nepal Telecom would prioritize customer satisfaction while maintaining a balance between a competitive market, institutional responsibility, service quality, and technological innovation.
He stated, "Today, telecommunications has become a fundamental element of human life. It has become an absolute necessity. I believe that Nepal Telecom will keep customer satisfaction as its top priority while maintaining a balance between the competitive market, responsibilities, quality service, and technological innovation. I urge the company to move forward by enhancing its competitive capacity through the efficient management and mobilization of its vast network, abundant infrastructure, excellent and skilled human capital, ample market potential, and available resources."
