Home Minister Aryal: Government’s Main Responsibility is to Ensure Free and Fair Elections
Kathmandu, Ashoj 2: Home Minister Om Prakash Aryal stated that the main responsibility of the current government is to gradually normalize the situation and conduct clean and impartial elections.
Speaking at a program organized at the Election Commission today, in the context of the announcement of the date for the House of Representatives election on Falgun 21, Minister Aryal said that the Zen Z protests have once again provided an opportunity to go before the people and be elected through a legitimate process. He urged everyone to focus on the upcoming election.
He also emphasized the need to ensure that Nepalis living abroad can vote through the use of technology and that the right to recall elected representatives midway should be guaranteed. During the discussion, the Commission presented its ongoing work and its expectations from the government.
