Home and Law Minister Om Prakash Aryal Inspects Traffic Police Office After Arson Incident
Kathmandu – Minister for Home and Law Om Prakash Aryal inspected the Baggi Khana Traffic Police Office in Kathmandu Valley.
During the Zen Z movement on September 8 and 9, participating demonstrators had vandalized and set fire to the office. On Tuesday, Minister Aryal visited the site to assess the situation after the arson.
Speaking to journalists after the inspection, Aryal said that no one should engage in acts that destroy the country, stressing that burning private and public property was wrong.
He further informed that reconstruction work at the Traffic Police Office would move forward once discussions with all stakeholders are completed.
He stated, “We are Nepali. This is our motherland. No matter how difficult the situation, we must endure it. Therefore, we need to be patient. Our goal is the same, our feelings are the same — no one should destroy the country.
Now, not only physical infrastructure but also our behavior and system can be reconstructed. We will move forward with the work after hearing from all stakeholders.”
