Helicopter Patrols and High Security Set for Election
Kathmandu. A meeting of the Central Security Committee held on Wednesday, chaired by Home Minister Om Prakash Aryal, has announced that all security preparations for the House of Representatives member election scheduled for tomorrow, Thursday (Falgun 21), have been completed.
According to Anand Kafle, spokesperson and head of the Security and Coordination Division of the Ministry of Home Affairs, the meeting concluded that security preparations were complete following briefings from all security agencies regarding their respective election arrangements.
The meeting decided to conduct helicopter patrolling in sensitive areas, collect information on potential anti-election activities, and take immediate legal action if any activities against the law are observed.
Furthermore, the meeting concluded that since the security management for the election has been made robust and efficient, all citizens are encouraged to participate in the voting process with confidence.
The meeting was attended by Home Minister Aryal, Home Secretary Rajkumar Shrestha, Secretary of the Ministry of Defense Kedarnath Sharma, heads of security agencies, and high-ranking officials from the Ministry of Home Affairs.
