Health Minister Dr. Gautam Emphasizes Decisive Steps for Health Insurance
Kathmandu. Health and Population Minister Dr. Sudha Gautam has stated that a decisive step must be taken regarding health insurance.
Speaking at a financial management seminar organized in Kathmandu on Monday, she mentioned that health insurance is in a very difficult state with millions of rupees in outstanding payments, and asserted that the insurance program cannot move forward without taking a decisive step on this matter.
She also informed that the current government is working with priority on three areas: insurance, medicine, and supply. She said, "Currently, we have placed three things in this government's priority, which include insurance, medicine, and supply.
If a decisive step is not taken regarding insurance, it is not running correctly and is in a very difficult state. Millions in payments remain outstanding."
