Harka Sampang to Sarlahi Voters: "Vote for the Soil, Not for Foreign Aid"
Sarlahi. Addressing a program organized in Lalbandi, Sarlahi, the Chairman of the Shram Sanskriti Party, Harka Sampang, stated that the core ideology of his party is labor, self-reliance, and national self-respect.
He claimed that the Shram Sanskriti Party is a group moving forward with the stance of building the country through one's own sweat and hard work, rather than through foreign ideologies or assistance. Mentioning that it is a common platform for everyone who desires change in the country, he appealed for support and solidarity.
While mentioning that he had come to address Madhesh for the first time, Sampang signaled that there are more challenges here than in other places. However, he did not provide a detailed description of the problems but maintained that strengthening the Shram Sanskriti Party is necessary to solve them all.
During the program, he described Suman Adhikari, the candidate for the House of Representatives from Sarlahi Constituency No. 1, as an honest and capable individual and urged for his victory. In a humorous tone, he said, "If he is good, vote for him; if you find him bad, don't." This expression generated laughter and excitement among the attending workers.
Sharing experiences from his tenure, Sampang said that while serving as the Mayor of Dharan, he spent three and a half years carrying stones for development and construction work. He stated that he practiced the culture of labor by working even on Saturdays. He clarified that there would be no discrimination between leaders and workers in his party, and everyone would function in the role of a laborer.
Commenting on his nature, he said, "I might look harsh from the outside, but I am rough to touch and sweet to taste." Additionally, he stated that his policy is not to bow down to foreign powers but to maintain friendship on equal footing. "We will not let anyone step on our heads, and we will not let foreign boots stomp on Mother Nepal's chest," he emphasized.
Stating that development alone is not the greatest thing and that the country itself stands above development, he urged people to vote for the Shram Sanskriti Party to protect national self-respect. "Join us in the campaign to build the country and save two handfuls of soil," he made an emotional appeal.
