Harka Sampang Declares Nepal Will Have a 'Laborer Prime Minister' After Upcoming Election
Harka Sampang, Mayor of Dharan Sub-Metropolitan City and Chairman of the Shram Sanskriti Party, has claimed that the country will see a "Laborer Prime Minister" following the House of Representatives elections scheduled for Falgun 21.
Addressing various programs in Khotang and Sunsari, Sampang revealed that the future leadership of the country will fall into the hands of someone who truly respects labor.
Mayor Sampang stated that the primary reason for the lack of development in Nepal is the tendency to look down upon manual work and laborers. "Our country has fallen behind because of a culture that views work as 'small' and fails to respect those who sweat for a living," he said. "True development is not possible until the culture of labor is mainstreamed into national policy."
