Harka Sampang Criticizes Rabi-Balen Agreement

Harka Sampang, the Mayor of Dharan and Chairperson of the Shram Sanskriti Party, has strongly criticized the recent agreement between Rabi Lamichhane and Balen Shah.

After the two leaders reached an agreement on Sunday, Sampang posted a video on social media targeting Balen Shah. He questioned how someone could partner with people involved in the cooperative (Sahakari) scam just to gain power.

He claimed such actions are like "auctioning off the country" for the sake of elections and urged all Nepalis to question this move.

He stated: "Every Nepali must question the person who hides and only talks about elections instead of addressing the demands of the Gen Z movement. I hear this person is planning to contest elections by joining hands with those involved in cooperative scams. This is all for power and to auction the country."

Sampang also accused the person (referring to Balen) of staying hidden while the country was in turmoil. He mentioned that while nearly 80 people died and many were injured during the Gen Z protests, this individual watched the country burn from inside without showing the courage to help.

He added: "An agent of foreign powers plays dangerous games from the shadows. He encourages Gen Z to protest, but when 70 to 80 people die and the country is ruined, he stays inside and smiles instead of coming out to support them. Now, he is trying to form a government under the influence of foreign powers."

Sampang further linked his criticism to Rabi Lamichhane regarding the MCC and the cooperative scam.
