'Greatest Insult': RPP's Hamal Outraged After Being Stopped at Singha Durbar
Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) Central Member, Rabikiran Hamal, said that the government called them for talks but then did not allow them to enter the Singha Durbar gate.
Supporting the 'Gen Z' protestors demonstrating at Maitighar, he stated that there is no greater insult than being called for negotiations and then being stopped at the gate, and this action is what led to the current situation.
He asserted that Singha Durbar is not anyone's private property but belongs to all the people, and everyone should have the right to enter it.
He said, "The government called our friends for talks but then stopped them right at the gate. What could be a bigger devaluation than this?
If the government had internalized why the blood was spilled the other day, today's situation would not have arisen.
Singha Durbar is not their private property; it is the Singha Durbar of all the people, and everyone must be allowed to enter."
Furthermore, he stated that conducting elections under the old electoral system has not provided stability to the country, and the sacrifices made were not for the sake of repeating the conditions of the past.
