Gyandendra Shahi Accuses Karnali Health Science Academy of Negligence Despite Millions in Budget

Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) leader Gyandendra Shahi has expressed strong dissatisfaction with the management of the Karnali Academy of Health Sciences (KAHS) in Jumla.

In a social media post, Shahi criticized the academy for failing to hire even a single radiologist doctor despite receiving over 500 million rupees annually in budget.

He wrote, “While the registrar and acting vice-chancellor draw annual salaries of over 5 million rupees and millions are spent recruiting hundreds of party-affiliated individuals regardless of need, not even one radiologist is hired to serve the people. This is an extreme form of authoritarianism.”

Shahi further stated that this issue is not just an insult to Jumla but to the entire Karnali region. He warned that the people of Karnali and Jumla would not remain silent in the face of such injustice.

“Correct this in time,” he cautioned, “or the people of Karnali and Jumla will be compelled to exercise their rights. I have already informed the concerned offices and government bodies in Jumla, and I am confident that there will be results soon.”
