Ward Chairman Gupta Returns to JSP One Day After Joining Nepali Congress
Sarlahi. Prakash Prasad Gupta, the Ward Chairman of Godaita Municipality-5 in Sarlahi, who joined the Nepali Congress just yesterday (Wednesday) after being welcomed by President Gagan Thapa, has returned to his original party, the Janata Samajwadi Party (JSP), today.
Elected as a Ward Chairman from the JSP, Gupta announced today that he has left the Congress party to return to his old party. He clarified that he will continue to support the JSP in the upcoming elections.
In a video, he stated that he has been with the JSP since the beginning, remains committed to the party, and is continuing his work as the elected Ward Chairman of Godaita Municipality-5.
He mentioned that due to the party alliance, he had briefly grown close to Birendra Singh, the Vice President of Nepali Congress Madhesh Province, which led to his move there. He also expressed his gratitude to them for the respect he was shown during that time.
Finally, he committed that he would not leave his party to vote for any other group and expressed his full loyalty to the JSP. Just yesterday (Wednesday) in Godaita, Sarlahi, he and four other ward chairmen had joined the Congress, stating they would support President Thapa.
