Government Committee to Visit Party Offices for Election Environment
Kathmandu, 9 Poush: The government is set to monitor the offices of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP), Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP), and Janamat Party to create a suitable environment for the upcoming elections.
The High-Level Political Dialogue Committee, formed by the government, will visit these offices today for monitoring and discussions. According to the schedule, the committee will visit the Janamat Party office at 11:00 AM, the RPP office at 1:00 PM, and the RSP office at 3:00 PM to talk with party leaders.
The committee was formed under the leadership of Minister for Law, Justice, and Parliamentary Affairs Anil Sinha. Other members include Minister for Communication and Information Technology Jagadish Kharel and the Prime Minister’s Chief Political Advisor, Ajay Bhadra Khanal.
As the House of Representatives election scheduled for 21 Falgun approaches, the government has increased its efforts to talk with all stakeholders.
Minister Jagadish Kharel, who is also the government spokesperson, stated that they are visiting party offices to build momentum for the election. He said, "The government is holding these talks to show it is serious about conducting the elections and to encourage political parties to participate positively."
Minister Kharel added that these visits aim to keep political parties focused on the election process. On Tuesday, the team visited the offices of the Nepali Congress, CPN-UML, and the Nepali Communist Party to hold similar discussions.
