Government and Gen Z Finalize Draft Agreement
The draft agreement finalized between representatives of Gen Z, the Ministry of Home Affairs, and the Ministry of Law is scheduled to be signed today. The formal signing is being held on the occasion of International Human Rights Day.
According to Gen Z activist Sudan Gurung, the final draft of the agreement between the government and Gen Z has been approved and prepared for signing.
It has been reported that the Prime Minister will be present at the signing ceremony of the agreement. Gen Z activists have stated that the main objective of this agreement is to provide a formal and institutional framework for the Gen Z movement that took place on Bhadra 23 and 24.
Previously, Gen Z leader Sudan Gurung had repeatedly visited the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers, Singhadurbar, to meet with Prime Minister Karki. It is also reported that Kumar Ben, chief advisor to Kathmandu Metropolitan City Mayor Balen Shah, was also present at those meetings.
