Giant Pandas' Amazing Tree-Climbing Skill

The incredible tree-climbing ability of giant pandas kept at a conservation center in China's southwestern Sichuan Province has been captured on camera. Recently released video footage shows the pandas moving effortlessly along tree branches without showing any fear of heights.

The China Conservation and Research Center for the Giant Panda (CCRCGP) released the video, which was filmed in June. In the clip, two giant pandas—'Qin Xiao' and 'Feng Ye'—can be seen maintaining their balance on tree branches using their flexible bodies and agile movements.

Two-year-old Qin Xiao is currently at CCRCGP’s Dujiangyan base, while three-year-old Feng Ye is housed at the Bifengxia base in Ya'an city.

In the video, the pandas are seen carefully climbing the branches, lightly swinging their thick-furred hind legs in the air. Giant pandas, typically known as bulky and slow-moving animals, fascinated conservationists with their agility and balance.

The CCRCGP is one of the world's leading organizations in giant panda breeding, conservation, and research—a species considered a national treasure in China. The center has been expanding international cooperation in panda conservation.
