Home Minister Aryal: Gen Z Agenda is the Government’s Political Roadmap

Kathmandu – Home Minister Om Prakash Aryal has stated that the agendas of Generation Z are the government’s political roadmap. Speaking at an interaction program on elections and participation for the stability of democracy held in Kathmandu on Thursday, he emphasized that considering Gen Z as an important stakeholder benefits everyone.

He said, “The agendas of Generation Z are the government’s political roadmap. When Gen Z issues are discussed, Gen Z automatically becomes a part of that discussion because the government has an understanding with them. Considering Gen Z as an important stakeholder benefits everyone. Therefore, change must be accepted, and only then will violence not repeat itself.”

Similarly, he expressed the view that work done by bypassing the rule of law cannot be considered good governance. “Work done by bypassing the rule of law cannot be called good governance. Gen Z’s dream is good governance. For good governance, the rule of law is essential. If someone takes a stand by bypassing the rule of law, that cannot be considered good governance. This is why the government is committed to good governance, and as Home Minister, I am fully dedicated to this,” he added.

He highlighted that his priority is protecting the country and expressed concern over misunderstandings about him despite having clean intentions. “My first priority is to protect the country. In doing so, if some things were delayed or responses were not timely, please do not take it negatively. My intentions are not wrong. At times, I was not even allowed to speak, and when I did, my words were misinterpreted,” he said.

Minister Aryal also assured that elections would be conducted safely and fairly. He further shared that he has entered politics to fight for victims’ justice, not for personal gain.
