Restoration of Parliament or Elections Inevitable with Agreements and Conditions: Abin Limbu
Kathmandu. Gen Z 2.0 has stated that the current political crisis is not merely a matter of power struggle, but a serious issue linked to the legitimacy of the state and the sovereign rights of the people.
Releasing a statement on Sunday, Abin Limbu, the spokesperson for Gen Z 2.0, said that if the parliament is to be restored, it must be accompanied by mandatory agreements and conditions that formally address the clear demands of Gen Z and the general public.
"If the parliament is indeed to be restored, it should not be based on the same old tendencies, the same old faces, and the same old agreements," Spokesperson Limbu said. "Restoration of parliament without addressing the demands will not be acceptable to Gen Z 2.0."
He clarified that any political decision that does not reinstate public trust cannot be a long-term solution. He added that history has repeatedly proven that old practices have failed to provide an exit for the country.
Spokesperson Limbu stated that if the restoration of parliament with agreements and conditions is not possible, the only democratic alternative to provide an exit for the country is a fair, free, and timely election. "Solving the current crisis is impossible without a new mandate," he emphasized.
Gen Z 2.0 issued a warning to all political forces, constitutional bodies, and state structures, sending a clear message that future decisions must focus on saving the country rather than saving power. "Now, agreements must happen with the people, not behind closed doors," Spokesperson Limbu said.
According to him, Gen Z 2.0 will stand firmly in favor of democracy, accountability, and people's rights.
