GenZ 2.0 Submits Detailed Proposal to the President's Office

GenZ 2.0 has submitted a detailed proposal prepared to end the current national crisis and political instability in the country to the President's Office.

The representative team, led by Spokesperson Abin Limbu, stated that a lasting solution for the country can be achieved through negotiation, dialogue, and national consensus.

The representative team expressed confidence to His Excellency the President that the current grave situation of economic, political, and social crisis can be resolved through peaceful dialogue.

The petition presented by GenZ 2.0 notes that the country has repeatedly faced crises due to the movements of the past decades, constitution drafting, elections, and instability, and thus holds the view that necessary amendments and decisions must now be made based on generational change and public mandate.

The representative team has demanded the President's Office immediately advance three main issues:

1. Formal Declaration of Gen-Z Revolution 2082 and Formation of GenZ Foundation A demand has been made to establish a national structure, including international precedents, based on Article 273 and the Publication of Gazette Act.

2. Formation of an All-Party and All-Stakeholder National Dialogue Committee A suggestion has been made to form a committee under the initiative of the President (Article 61) and the Prime Minister (Article 56) to build a common national agenda, prevent transition issues, and create political consensus.

3. Proposal to Finalize Key Decisions Through Referendum and Elections GenZ 2.0 concludes that a referendum and a fresh mandate are necessary for issues such as the electoral system, a new structure for corruption control, and the restructuring of the National Assembly.

GenZ 2.0 has urged that major issues, including the provincial structure, direct executive head, the role of the monarchy, the religious nature, and whether local levels should be partisan or non-partisan, be taken to a referendum.

Spokesperson Abin Limbu, in the petition submitted to the President's Office, also warned that the current government appears to be confused and a delayed decision could push the country toward unnecessary conflict again.

He stated that the mandate given by the GenZ movement must now be implemented at the national level, emphasizing that a referendum is the appropriate means to secure the people's right to make any decision.

GenZ 2.0 has proposed adding 31 new members to the National Assembly, including generational representation, completing the structure with 3 members appointed by the President, announcing the election for the House of Representatives, reconstituting the Election Commission, and advancing necessary constitutional amendments through national consensus.

The representative team stated that an open debate among all parties, new alternative forces, civil society, and intellectuals is necessary to give the country long-term stability.

Copies of the petition have also been sent to the Prime Minister's Office, the Supreme Court, the National Assembly, and all political parties.
