'Gen-Z Movement' Organized Crime? Mahesh Basnet Demands Answer from Balen Shah.
Kathmandu: CPN (UML) leader Mahesh Basnet has raised serious questions about the nature of the 'Gen-Z Movement' and demanded an answer from Kathmandu Metropolitan City Mayor Balen Shah and Sudhan Gurung.
Basnet used the social media platform Facebook to cite police investigations and disclose new facts related to individuals arrested during the movement.
According to his claim, about 80% of the arrested individuals were previously involved in cases such as fraud, banking offenses, and attempted murder. "Some of them were even fugitives!" he mentioned in the post.
Raising further concerns, he also revealed the fact that out of 1,500 weapons looted during the movement, 400 weapons are still missing.
Presenting these facts, leader Basnet directly questioned: "Now a question arises. Was this movement social, or a violent campaign under the guise of organized crime? Balen and Sudhan must answer."
