Gen Z Movement Injured Protestors Stage Sit-in at Maitighar to Block CPN-UML

Injured protestors from the Gen Z movement have staged a sit-in demonstration at Maitighar Mandala in Kathmandu.

They are demonstrating to demand a ban on the CPN-UML (Communist Party of Nepal - Unified Marxist–Leninist) from gathering at Maitighar.

Police are making announcements over a loudspeaker, stating that no assembly has been organized at Maitighar, and are urging the protestors to remain calm.

The UML is scheduled to announce its Youth Volunteer Force under its mass organization today.

The declaration program is set for 11:00 AM at the same location. Party Chairman KP Sharma Oli is expected to formally launch the force during the event.
