Gen Z Leader Sudan Gurung to Contest Election from Gorkha-1
Sudan Gurung is preparing to contest the upcoming election from Gorkha-1. As the election date approaches, he is continuously traveling to Gorkha to strengthen his relationship with the locals.
During a recent three-day stay in Gorkha, he focused on local problems and called the Finance Minister and the Chief District Officer (CDO) to complain about the lack of roads and administrative buildings. Following the Gen Z movement, Sudan has met with various leaders to unite the alternative forces and has indicated his intention to contest the election from Gorkha-1.
Recently, after concluding a few days of stay in Gorkha, Sudan traveled to Pokhara. After completing his program in Pokhara, he arrived in Kathmandu and has been actively campaigning to unite the alternative forces, as promised to the locals in Gorkha.
Claiming that he personally arranged the meeting between Kulman Ghising and Balen Shah, he also visited Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) President Rabi Lamichhane at Nakhkhu Jail.
His firm stance is that uniting the old powers is essential. He stated that he felt even more reassured after the agreement between Gen Z and the government on Wednesday, and he would focus on the election only after the President signs it.
For this reason, he repeatedly emphasized that Gorkha-1 is his beloved land, and his decision to contest from there should not be viewed otherwise.
