Gen Z 2.0 Group Meets Home Minister, Demands Action Against Perpetrators of Bhadra 23-24 Incidents

Kathmandu. Home Minister Omprakash Aryal met with youths from the Gen Z 2.0 group at the Ministry of Home Affairs on Sunday.

On the occasion, the Gen Z youth group demanded action against those found guilty in connection with the incidents that occurred on Bhadra 23 and 24.

Representatives of the group named Gen Z 2.0 demanded action against the culprits of the protest. They also demanded action against those involved in the arson and vandalism carried out in the name of Gen Z on Bhadra 24.

Avin Limbu, spokesperson for the Gen Z 2.0 group, informed that during the discussion, the Home Minister expressed his commitment to take action against the guilty.

Limbu added that the Minister also urged them to cooperate with the government in the upcoming elections.

Furthermore, Limbu requested the Minister to understand the intention when taking action against Gen Z members.

He argued that even if the intention was pure, there should be a sense of humanity toward those involved in the vandalism.

Giving an example, he said, "Suppose some Gen Z youths were convinced (brainwashed) that 'this government office is a den of corruption, destroying it will end corruption in the country,' and then those innocent youths burnt the building."

During the meeting, they also informed Minister Aryal that the Gen Z 2.0 group plans to organize an event at Maitighar Mandala on Mangsir 12.

They also extended an invitation to Home Minister Aryal to attend that program.
