Dr. Jhalak Sharma Gautam Files Candidacy for UML Central Member
In the election under the 11th General Convention of the CPN-UML in Kathmandu, Dr. Jhalak Sharma Gautam has submitted his candidacy for Central Member. Dr. Gautam, who has worked in the health sector for a long time, retired after serving up to the level of Division Chief in the Health Service. Earlier, he was also the president of the UML-affiliated National Health Workers' Association.
Similarly, some leaders from the UML who have led the Ministry of Health have filed their candidacies: former health minister Lekhraj Bhatta is running for Deputy General Secretary; former health ministers Khagaraj Adhikari and Bhanubhakta Dhakal are running for Deputy General Secretary; former state minister for health Padma Aryal is running for Secretary; and former health ministers Padam Giri and Sher Bahadur Tamang are running for Central Member.
