Gagan Thapa Pledges Direct Connection with Voters in Sarlahi

Dhankaul (Sarlahi). Nepali Congress President and candidate for Sarlahi Constituency No. 4, Gagan Kumar Thapa, has stated that elected members of parliament must be directly connected with their voters.

Following his candidacy in Sarlahi 4 under Madhesh Province, President Thapa, who has been busy with meetings and party entry programs, expressed his commitment during an event in Dhankaul today. He pledged to establish a parliamentary office to stay in direct contact with voters and remain active in development projects and other local initiatives.

He said, "The people here will no longer have to go anywhere else to find me; my contact office will remain right here. I have understood the hills, I have understood the city, and this time I have come here with my candidacy to understand Madhesh. I will be dedicated to addressing problems in education, health, and employment by making maximum use of my network, experience, and knowledge. I have come to Sarlahi not to be your leader, but to be your son. I will honor the votes you give me and dedicate myself to development work."

Expressing his commitment to fulfilling the opinions, suggestions, and expectations received during meetings and discussions in his constituency, he shared his confidence in receiving love from the people of Sarlahi, as he came here at their request.

On that occasion, several leaders and workers from various parties joined the Nepali Congress, including Krishna Kumar Kushwaha, the Bahujan Party candidate for the Provincial Assembly (B) under Sarlahi Constituency No. 4.

Other new members included Sujit Mahato, ward chair of Godaita Municipality Ward No. 1, Ajay Prasad Shah of Ward No. 2, Prakash Gupta of Ward No. 5, and Bishwanath Pandit of Ward No. 11. According to his secretariat, he is scheduled to return to Kathmandu this Friday, Magh 16.
