Gagan Thapa Envisions a "Golden Period" for Nepal from 82 to 87

Kathmandu. Nepali Congress President Gagan Thapa has stated that the upcoming election is an election of necessity. Addressing an electoral mass meeting organized by the Nepali Congress in Surkhet, he mentioned that the current election is also a mandatory condition to keep Nepal's constitution on the right track.

Stating that the Nepali Congress has already fulfilled its role in making the election successful, he expressed the view that the events of Bhadra 23 and 24 should not be forgotten in the context of the Falgun 21 election.

He said, "This election is an election of necessity. This election is also a mandatory condition for Nepal to keep our constitution on track right now. The Nepali Congress has played its role to make the election successful. In the context of the Falgun 21 election, we must not forget the matters of Bhadra 23 and 24."

He stated that a situation must be created in the country where no citizen loses their life to a government bullet and no individual wearing a mask can engage in activities like burning down Singha Durbar. He remarked that to achieve this, the events of Bhadra 23 and 24 must be seriously evaluated while heading into the election.

Thapa alleged that certain forces show a tendency to deny the events that occurred on Bhadra 23 and 24. He claimed that the argument suggesting everything was normal before those events is incorrect.

He said, "In this country, no individual's life should be lost to a government bullet anymore. In this country, no masked person should be allowed to burn Singha Durbar. This situation must be created. For that, we must look at Bhadra 23 and 24 while going to the election. There is a tendency that denies what happened on Bhadra 23 and 24. They claim everything was fine and everyone was prosperous before the 23rd and 24th.

The Nepali Congress stands with a different thought. Nepal's politics has become dirty. Alliance politics has contaminated the overall politics of Nepal. Therefore, the Nepali Congress has come with a resolve to clean this dirty politics. We will clean this polluted politics. We have come with a dream to make the five years from 82 to 87 a golden period for the country and the people."

Mentioning that Nepal's politics has become dirty and polluted, he accused alliance politics of contaminating the overall political environment. Stating that the Nepali Congress is moving forward with a different thought and resolve, he expressed commitment to cleaning the dirty and polluted politics.

He also stated that the Congress has moved forward with the dream of making the five years from 82 to 87 a golden era for the country and the people.
