Sabin Shrestha hands over funeral equipment for film artists' final tributes

Artists Sabin Shrestha and Anu Shah have handed over necessary funeral equipment (Karra) to the Pashupati Area Development Trust for paying final tributes to film artists.

The artist duo handed over the equipment to Surya Bhat, an officer of the Pashupati Area Development Trust, within the Pashupat area. Sabin, who has been actively involved in various social works such as distributing sanitary pads to women and providing financial and material support to children with disabilities, handed over the equipment at his own expense.

His objective is to help facilitate respectful and organized final tributes for film artists during their last journey.

After the handover, Shrestha shared that the bitter reality of having to search for chairs and other materials when a film artist passes away used to sadden him. He mentioned that this realization motivated him to take this initiative. He added that the equipment can be used by film artists, journalists, and anyone else in need.

Stating that birth and death are the ultimate truths, actress Anu Shah expressed her happiness at being associated with this social cause, which will help manage the necessary arrangements for paying final tributes to individuals who have contributed to the film industry.

Surya Bhat, an officer of the Pashupati Area Development Trust, expressed confidence that this social work by artist Sabin Shrestha will greatly assist in managing the final farewell of film artists whose last rites are performed at Pashupati.

Expressing gratitude for the received support, he stated that such social and humanitarian works send a positive message to society.

Sabin Shrestha informed that the equipment was prepared with the help of Sudip Pant and Naresh Kunwar. Additionally, production manager Ramhari Dangol (9841264371) has been given the responsibility of managing and facilitating its use at Pashupati.karra-hastantaran-(2)-1778849590.jpg
