Former Prime Minister Prachanda Seriously Concerned About Simara Tension
The coordinator of the Nepali Communist Party and former Prime Minister, Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda,' has expressed serious concern over the ongoing tension and violent incidents in Simara, Bara, since yesterday.
Issuing a statement through social media, he urged all sides to exercise the highest level of restraint to prevent the situation from becoming further complicated and violent.
Prachanda remarked that political and ideological differences are natural in a democracy, stating that transforming them into violence, excitement, or anarchy is against democratic values.
He drew the government's attention to the need to create an environment where political parties and leaders can travel, hold meetings, and programs freely.
He further stated that as elections are approaching, all parties need to be vigilant and responsible so that no incident or provocation negatively affects a peaceful and impartial election.
Alongside this, Prachanda also instructed local party committees to play the necessary role of coordination and facilitation to normalize the situation.
