Former IGP Chandra Kuver Khapung Banned from Going Abroad
Former Inspector General of Police (IGP) Chandra Kuver Khapung has been banned from travelling abroad today, the same day he retired.
The inquiry commission on the incidents of Bhadra 23 and 24 (September 8 and 9) made the decision to ban Khapung from travelling abroad at its meeting today.
According to the commission's decision, he is not only restricted from going abroad but is also prohibited from leaving the Kathmandu Valley without the commission's prior permission.
The inquiry commission has instructed Khapung to remain within the Valley for the investigation of the specific sequence of events.
