Election Will Happen on Fagun 21, No Ifs, No Buts: General Secretary Gagan Thapa
KATHMANDU. Nepali Congress General Secretary and former Health Minister Gagan Kumar Thapa has affirmed that the upcoming election, scheduled for Fagun 21 (approximately March 5th/6th, depending on the year), will take place without fail. He urged all citizens to ensure their participation by registering to vote.
In a video message posted on his Facebook page on Monday, General Secretary Thapa stated categorically:
"The election will happen on Fagun 21, no ifs, no buts. All of us must participate in the election."
He emphasized the urgency of voter registration for those who have not yet done so, noting that the deadline is fast approaching.
"To participate in the election as a voter, if you have not registered your vote, only 6 days are left. Please get your registration done within these six days."
In his video message, Thapa also mentioned that citizens can obtain information and register for a voter ID card by visiting the Election Commission's website or by seeking guidance from individuals who have already completed the process.
He stressed the importance of timely registration for all eligible citizens to exercise their democratic right to vote.
