Election Materials Arrive in Bajura for Upcoming Election

Bajura. Necessary materials for the House of Representatives member election, scheduled for March 5, have arrived in Bajura. The Election Commission sent the essential supplies required for voting as part of the election preparations.

Preparations for the House of Representatives election to be held on March 5 in Bajura are in full swing. Bhim Bahadur Shahi, the Election Officer of the District Election Office Bajura, stated that the election materials sent by the Commission have reached the district. 

He informed that some materials were sent by the Election Commission while others were purchased by the Election Office, all of which arrived at the office on Tuesday evening.

The District Election Office Bajura has indicated that with the arrival of the necessary materials for the staff deployed for the election, preparations are now in the final stages.

In Bajura, individuals from seven parties, including one independent candidate, are in the electoral fray. A major competition is expected particularly between the Nepali Congress, CPN (UML), Nepali Communist Party (NCP), and the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP). 

The main contest is anticipated among Janak Raj Giri from the Nepali Congress, Lal Bahadur Thapa from the UML, Prakash Bahadur Shah from the NCP, and Hemraj Thapa from the RSP.

There are 118 polling centers across 77 polling stations in Bajura. Among them, 62 are classified as highly sensitive, 12 as sensitive, and the others as normal. There are 87,861 voters here. According to the District Election Office Bajura, this includes 42,431 women, 42,428 men, and two others.
