Election Code of Conduct Monitoring Officers Appointed
Kathmandu, Magh 14. The Election Commission has appointed monitoring officers to oversee the election code of conduct. According to the Commission’s spokesperson, Narayan Prasad Bhattarai, Assistant Chief District Officers have been designated to make the monitoring of the code of conduct effective at the district level.
The Commission stated that Assistant Chief District Officers have been assigned responsibilities for matters other than financial ones. Meanwhile, Chief Treasury Controllers and Treasury Controllers have been appointed as election code of conduct monitoring officers with specific responsibilities to handle different tasks related to financial matters.
The House of Representatives election is scheduled for Falgun 21. To conduct the election in a clean, fair, transparent, and credible manner, the Commission has implemented the Election Code of Conduct, 2082. The code of conduct has been in effect since Magh 4.
