Election Campaigning Officially Begins for House of Representatives
Kathmandu – Political parties and candidates are officially allowed to begin election campaigning from today for the House of Representatives member election scheduled for Falgun 21.
According to the Election Commission, campaigning will be permitted from today until midnight of Falgun 18. Election campaigning is allowed only from 15 days prior to the voting date.
Under the election campaign provisions, political parties and candidates are allowed to organize rallies, mass meetings, corner assemblies, and publish or broadcast election-related materials through media outlets.
It has been stated that political parties, candidates, and all stakeholders must fully comply with the election code of conduct while carrying out campaign activities, giving high priority to the integrity of the election. Within these provisions, candidates are now formally permitted to seek votes from the electorate.
