Eight Youths Arrested at Maitighar Protest

Kathmandu, Dec 22: Police arrested eight young people today during a protest at Maitighar Mandala. The protest was organized by the "Gen Z" group, led by Miraj Dhungana.

According to the law, people are not allowed to hold meetings, protests, or rallies at Maitighar Mandala without permission from the District Administration Office. The youths, including Ravikiran Hamal, were taken into custody for breaking this rule.

Pawan Kumar Bhattarai, the spokesperson for the Kathmandu Police, stated that the group was protesting because their demands had not been met. The eight individuals were arrested while they were chanting slogans in the restricted area.
